Welcome BACK!!! Dr. M
Thousands throng the Dataran PPP in Taiping, some were there as early as 8.30am to listen and catch a glimpse of the ever charismatic, fiery, outspoken and at times a little sarcastic Tun Dr. Mahathir or better known as Dr. M. He has his fair shares of controversies but we still love him, we still need him and we certain welcome him back officially on the battle ground!
Someone who speaks his mind without worrying who he might anger could be a bane to everyone but not Dr. M. He believes in bringing the message, no matter how hard it could be or how 'rude' at times across. He was probably (in)famous in the eyes of the world for his apparently open criticism of the West, his anti-semitic sentiments, comments on Al Gore and of course Anwar. Since retirement, he too has his controversial moments: recall lingam???
'Looks like me, talks like me, sounds like me, but it's not me'
Good luck to lingam on that lah hah... but anyway how did the ruling turned out? or it's still in 'progress'?? Anyway, that was just a digression and not the main point. We'll let the integrity of our judiciary to take care of it.. (hopefully)

In the middle of all these criticisms, i think we just sometimes failed to see, acknowledge, and appreciate all that he has done for Malaysia! 'Father of modernisation' we called. How rightly so too. In 22 years at the helms of our nation's top post, he has demonstrated his leadership crudentials, albeit, like i said, it has it's own controvercy surrounding them, by steering Msia well towards being a developed nation! Something we cannot forget, ignore, dismiss or taken for granted.
Since he has retired from politics, from his premiership, he has still been very much in the picture of our nation's political scenarios. As admited by the man himself, he cannot control his tougue if he sees something, someone who is heading the wrong path in managing the country. Afterall as Dr. M casually & cheekily said
'But that is my stock in trade. The only thing I know is talk'
And boy, can he talk!?!? He practically talked his way into the resignation of Pak lah after the pressure was too much to bear; from a disastrous election outcome, unpopularity amongst the people rose, and of course sharp criticism against him by the witty man himself Dr. M. Way to go Dr. M! I'm sorry to say but by getting Pak lah out was a relieve to many msians & rejoice for the whole nation, sadly speaking.
Pak lah has been a rather weak leader in my opinion, lacked the charisma for a PM, too soft spoken, not brave in taking calculated risks for the sake of developing the country, give in too much, and perhaps most of you all will agree with me, he doesnt even able to speak clearly! he's mumbling most of a time and helo?? we cant hear you if you're talking to yourself! That was pretty mean but i was indeed annoyed that my leader speaks like that!

Try listening to any Dr. M's speeches, interviews or talkshows. He speaks loud and clear, with poise and energy even at the age of 84! We need not look too far for that, his recent speech on his 1st comeback campaign for BN for the Bukit Gantang by-election proves it all.

After listening to his approximately 50 mins speech, i can safely say that Dr. M is BACK!!! This was classic Dr. M delivering his speech, accepting both sides of the arguments and gives his rebuttal for them, adding a little sarcastism to make it casual, light-hearted, and taking a swipe at his political nemesis ever so well, and yet he brings across the very important messages he wants the people to take in. A great eloquent speaker with wisdom and vision. This is what we want in a leader!
However, make no mistakes, i'm not siding or bias towards any political party here. I'm just merely excited at the return of Dr. M and of the rousing support he garnered in his maiden speech at a campaign since retiring. It was a nostalgic moment i would say, i still miss his policies speeches and have always like the style, the way, and the very fact that he speaks clearly and with so much energy!

He is a man of wisdom with a great vision, and i guess i'm safe to say that most Msians miss his charisma. We can only hope that the leader he endorses, Datuk Seri Najib will carry on with the legacy left behind by Dr. M, change the ones by Pak lah, and by instilling his own ideas and vision to make Msia modern, better, more efficient, less corrupt, more meritocratic, liberal and democratic!
On my final note, it's good to see Dr. M back, up and running again in Msia! However, this shall not be interpreted as i'm totally ignorant of facts and support what has been said in his speech blindly but he has his points and i'm more focused on the way he deliver his speech. Good stuff.

Out of the BLUE..
I'm blogging again after such a long layoff! Not that anything special or sophisticated events happened today that gave me the urge to start blogging again. It was in fact, believe it or not out of randomity!... I remembered after all these months that i HAVE a blog! (not an active one though).. =( I feel like blogging and so here i am! =)
Speaking of an event, I actually had paintball today with my other fellow friends in the medical programme. It was AWESOME!!! The chaos, mess, pain, adrenaline, squatting, spotting, camping, firing, running, CRAWLING, and etc etc... It was really a good workout not only do you get the exercise but the FUN & EXCITEMENT!...
It was also a good bonding session for everyone as i always feel that there is a lack of events or bonding between the seniors and juniors( some, not all of them) The paintball session was certainly one of the avenue for both seniors and juniors to mingle around freely, share the same passion of winning and be on the same side once, covering one another for a change. It was well organised!
I can't begin to describe my excitement, my overjoyed feeling, the thrill that i get from paintball today. The sensational come from behind though we were on the back foot right at the beginning. Oh yea, we WON btw! =))) Victory is always sweet, however, it was not just that, i'm sure that the non-victorious side enjoyed themselves too.
Apart from all these wild, chaotic yet amazingly fulfilling time, there was also a scene of pure serenity and beauty! I have to admit i was paying most of my attention; when we were not in the combat zone of course on this particular girl. She has one of the more sophisticated look-her facial structures are unique yet they blend together so well, so perfect, so sweet- she never fail to charm you, with an ever lovely smile and a playful character. This will be my second time seeing her after bumming into her through a friend in town just the day before. Unfortunately, she is not from dublin and is only here on holidays.........
